Recently, we brought you examples of how we try to engage our residents in many different types of activities. It is a lot of fun to listen to live music, participate in dances and socials, and even interact with animals! At Senior Solutions, we believe in the importance of keeping our residents connected with the greater community.
Social Organizations
Is your elderly loved one involved with a community organization? That does not have to stop when joining our community. Many of our residents are actively involved in social organizations. Not only can your loved one feel comfort in knowing he or she can continue with those interests, but he or she has the opportunity to meet others who share those same interests.
At our Antebellum Grove community, the Red Hat Society has quite a few members, and they have a lot of fun, too!
Service Organizations
In our communities, we understand that not all are as fortunate as we are, so we do our best to give back to the community in any way we can. One of our newer communities, Oakwood Senior Living, helped give back to the community by serving delicious BBQ meals through an organization in Knoxville called Mobile Meals.
This great organization provides meals to those who are unable to provide or prepare their meals for themselves. We werehonored to help prepare and distribute meals and fundraise for those in need with Mobile Meals.
Greater Community Interaction With Our Residents
We love encouraging our residents to be involved and give back to the greater community. However, we are fortunate that our communities are located in wonderful places, with wonderful people, who bring exciting activities and events to us, as well.
Students at local schools near our Jamestowne community come to read, sing, or perform with our residents. If that isn’t exciting enough, our Chef at the Alexander Guest House prepared a reunion lunch for a celebrating class!
Ask Us How!
We enjoy providing for and interacting with the greater communities we reside in. We want your loved one to feel like they belong not only in our communities, but also in the great community as well. Whether your loved one is looking to continue their community service, or find a new philanthropic interest, we are happy to provide as much support as we can.
We encourage your loved ones to keep participating in their philanthropic activities during their stay with us. Ask one of our expert staff members how your loved one can get involved–we’re happy to help!
